A growing university with a healthy environment

I am personally satisfied so far with the management system of my university in terms of lectures, examinations, and overall. The classes of MedTech courses are usually in two departments- Medicine and Engineering departments, it is easy to go to both campuses using public transport by bus. The first semester was quite hectic but interesting, with a lot of classes combining basic sciences and basic mathematics (engineering) compared to the second semester which has only Medicine and Surgery subjects. The university is improving every day with highly skilled professors and modern infrastructure, the classrooms are pretty decent with good space and easy for interaction among each other. The university is quite modern and has all the labs and equipments, there are bars and cafeterias in the university too. Overall so far I am quite satisfied and I also hope that things will keep on improving in the coming years.

Review from: Teaching Level category
The presentations are quite decent and easy to understand

The presentations are quite decent and easy to understand with a good level of English, some slides in basic biology and genetics were not that great with the paragraphs in the Italian language. The chemistry, and physics slides in the first semester were quite organized and good, Mathematics slides were usually written and made in the class by the professor and were quite engaging and average. Histology slides and laboratories are up to the mark, Anatomy presentations are useful with summaries, and all diagrams are labeled in English properly.

Review from: Exams category
The exams in the first semester were both written and oral

The exams in the first semester were both written and oral, they were conducted properly and on time after the completion of the syllabus. The written exam had a few multiple choice questions, numerical and 2 long questions from the theory that were quite tricky but not hard, Oral exams were a little hard as the professors check your ability in that subject very well. Some exams in the second semester will be conducted together, which is not easy.

Review from: The City category
The city Ancona is not the best and not the worst but a decent small city for a student who wants to study.

The city Ancona is not the best and not the worst but a decent small city for a student who wants to study. The weather is quite fine, cold and windy in winters, and summers are very good and sunny. The department of Engineering is beautifully built on the hills and the department of Medicine which is in torrette is quite near to the beach. The night life is fair enough in the centro ( mainly near pasetto and piazza cavour), piazza ugo bassi and torrette are other places to hangout, have drinks and enjoy. There are mainly two nighclubs in Ancona which are little offside and not in the city centre, but it is easy to travel to nearby cities like senigallia, civitanova, rimini by train/bus/car to enjoy at its best. In the summers it is very good for people who love trekking, going to beaches like Portonovo and Numana, have sun bath and relax at the beach with spritz. There are a lot of sporting activities, gyms and swimming pools in the city but they are paid. Public transport in ancona is very good and it covers all the departments of the university in the route, special buses called MediLink are only organised for Medical students, a special bus with number 30 is only for the hospital and the hospital is next to the university which is very good. The hospital and university both are quite huge and modern with all facilities and equipments that one need.
The cost of living is quite reasonable and affordable where one can find a share room within 180-280 Euros, a meal at Macdonalds which is near to the university can cost like 4-8 Euros.

Review from: University Services category
There are cafeterias and bars in all the departments of the university

There are cafeterias and bars in all the departments of the university, it is quite good with a variety of food and desserts, the quality of the food is good and fresh. The university has CUS Ancona which has a lot of sports, University does not have a gym and swimming pool but has collaboration with privately paid services which are usually around 30/40 Euros per month. I am personally going to the gym and go jogging in the park which is very beautiful and called Posatora Parco Belvedere and also sometimes near Spiaggia del Passetto.
Libraries are very good and modern with proper electricity sockets on each desk to charge your laptops, every department in the city has a library which anyone can avail.
